A Hiatus or 2
Obviously, I’ve been very closed off from my writing circle of friends and readers for a number of months and I wanted to post a little update. In truth, I’ve been pretty closed off to all forms of social media, starting about mid-year. Summer is what did it. Most everything can be blamed on summer. Summer, a new house-flip, and moving the family of five into a 25 foot trailer. Yes, summer is when the adventures in my life began to multiply. Now, I’m starting a new business, prepping to home school my three children, and...

Lately, my nonexistent blog makes me think I am not much of a writer, but when I consider the hours I’ve recently spent writing, I guess I might still (barely) qualify for the title. 😉 So, I really have been writing, just not here. This is a bad and good thing, bad because I’ve been neglecting my website and good because I’ve been devoting time to two books. Yes, two! Well, one and a half… The half is a Converters Trilogy novella–the story of Desiree’s mother. I loved writing this book and will admit I did...

It’s back!! November and lots and lots of writing! This whole committing to write a novel in a month with thousands (or is it millions?) of other people was super effective for me last year. I wrote the whole first draft of The Conclave and started a little fairy tale on the side. This year I’ll be finishing up the novella I’ve been working on AND I have a whole new standalone all plotted and ready to go! I’m hoping to have success with this again, but……well, I’m taking my little crazies to Disneyland...

This is how I feel right now. Ready to take on the next story. But where have I been? Well, I’m a lazy writer in the summer (or a non-writer–something unproductive). I’ll freely admit it. Just releasing The Conclave was difficult to schedule in. Honestly, this probably won’t change anytime soon. My husband and I are lucky enough to be able to tone down the work we do in the summer and spend oodles of time with our kids. And I LOVE that. This year, just as school restarted, we had some family health problems that set...

It’s time to get back to some reviews! Today’s is Skipping Forward by Bethany Wicker. This is a great cover. I liked it when I picked up the book and I liked it even more after having read the book. It really captures the emotion of our heroine, Molly. She has an ability (or problem). She can skip forward in time, usually unwillingly, and won’t remember what she missed. Her parents don’t believe her, but her best friend does and is trying to help her cope, when new guy, Rhett, shows up and seems to understand her more...

Let’s start with some bad news…according to Amazon, there are extended delays with their file review team right now. Luckily, the e-book copy of The Conclave is good to go, but the paperback is not. AND, apparently, I can’t get an estimate on when it will be ready. (I’m hoping for mid-week next week). So…not good. I apologize to all of my readers who wanted the print copy. I should have factored in possible delays instead of submitting files so close to release. BUT the Kindle version is good to go and will be...

I’ll post again tomorrow with info about the blog and then, on Monday, the tour will commence!! Happy reading! Chapter 1 Beneath the blades slicing through the air, darkness waits. I stare down at the black sky under the helicopter, questioning my sanity—a new and frequent pastime. “This is crazy.” Denny’s words echo my thoughts, but under his concern is an...
